L. Michelle Borden, LCSW

L. Michelle Borden, LCSW, brings nearly 30 years of community mental health leadership and experience to NewBridge. In her current role as Associate Executive Director, Ms. Borden oversees the operations of all agency behavioral health programs, supervises the school-based services program and develops and implements new policies and procedures. She also participates on numerous state, county and local committees and task forces, including the Morris County Youth Services Advisory Council, Passaic County Children's Inter-Agency Coordinating Council, Morris County Traumatic Loss Coalition, and the Morris County Office of Emergency Management, Disaster Mental Health Task Force.

Previously, Ms. Borden served as the Assistant Director for Clinical Services at NewBridge; Administrative Director of Mental Health and Continuing Care Services at East Orange General Hospital; and Branch Director at The Devereux Foundation. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the New Jersey Association of Mental Health Agencies, the National Network for Social Work Managers and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.

She earned a MSW at the University of Connecticut, School of School Work and a BA in Cultural Studies at Bates College. She is also a Certified School Social Worker, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Social Work Manager.
