Melody Federico

Director of Housing Development

Melody Federico, Director of Housing Development, is responsible for directing NewBridge's affordable housing initiative to create 100 new housing units for low- and moderate-income families and those with special needs by 2010.

Federico is responsible for concept development, identification of sites, procurement of funding, project development, acquisition, and property/asset management. She develops new construction and rehabilitation of affordable or market rate rentals, and special needs housing. She has been working with government officials to assist them in fulfilling obligations with NJ Council of Affordable Housing (COAH).

Federico holds an MBA from Montclair State University, a master's degree in administrative science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a bachelor's degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University. She was awarded a Real Property Administrator® designation by the Building Owners and Managers Association, and holds real estate salesperson licenses in both New Jersey and California. She has been honored by the Supportive Housing Association of New Jersey for her work in affordable housing, and is affiliated with the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ; Supportive Housing Association of NJ; Fair Housing Committee of Morris County Human Relations Commission; as well as Co-Chair of the Housing Alliance of Morris County; founding member of MBA Alumni Investment Program; member of Women in Housing Finance of NY and member of the Affordable Housing Advisory Council for the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York.
