Andrea Wasser-Malmud, MSW, ACSW, LCSW, CCBT, CFT, has been an instrumental leader at NewBridge for most of her 25 year career. In her current role as Director of Professional Services, she runs the Adult and Family Services Department, and oversees the operations of the ICMS, SAIL and Partial Care Departments. In her role as clinician/forensic specialist she runs the Anger Management Program, "Cool Under Fire." She also participates in Mental Health/Judicial Task Forces in Morris and Passaic counties, and the Morris County Senior Providers Group.

Previously, Ms. Wasser-Malmud served as a mental health worker at Fair Oaks Hospital in Summit, NJ, and a Psychiatric Social Worker at Essex County Hospital Center in Cedar Grove, NJ. Once at NewBridge, she served as a Clinician and Acting Director of the agency's partial care program before moving into her current role.

She conducts clinical trainings both within the agency and in the community. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and holds certifications as a Cognitive Behavior Therapist and Forensic Therapist. She completed extensive professional training in Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama at the Institutes for Sociotherapy in New York and New Jersey. She has also completed in-service training in a number of areas including alcohol and drug abuse, child sexual abuse, play therapy, domestic violence and group therapy.

Ms. Wasser-Malmud earned a MSW from Rutgers University and a BA degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
