Position Title: Fee-for-Service Clinician
Responsible To: Supervising Clinician/AFS
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology or related field.
- Two years of supervised post-graduate experience and evidence of clinical competency individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, and case management preferred.
- Good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team for the purposes of delivering outpatient services to individuals, children, families and groups through the use of individual, family and group psychotherapy modalities.
- Complete assessments of consumers assigned through the Access Department.
- Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries, conduct intakes and provide follow-up contact needed.
- Manage all aspects of treatment with assigned consumers (minimum of 35) for full-time clinicians: arrange for psychiatric evaluations as needed, implement prescribed treatment plan, monitor medication needs, communicate with other authorized individual and treatment providers, provide authorized reports.
- Serve as member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team for the purpose of assessing client strengths and needs, developing and reviewing individual treatment plans, and implementing treatment plans. Keep other members of the team informed of the client's course of treatment and changes in functioning.
- Develop and modify treatment plans with consumers in response to their changing needs, but no less frequently than required by standard.
- Conduct telephone assessments of potential emergency situations, review with supervisor for disposition, make referrals as needed and provides follow-up.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of treatment provided for all assigned consumers and their families as related to the individual treatment plan.
- Update clinical record according to agency standards: treatment plan updates, new information, transfer summary, ongoing progress, crisis intervention, correspondence.
- Participate in assigned managed care organizations and manage related paperwork.
- Participate in staff and supervision meetings, and NewBridge committee meetings as assigned.
- Enhance professional competency by staying familiar with developments in the field of mental health, maintain licensure/certification.
- Provide feedback to supervisor and staff regarding trainings and workshops attended for continued professional development and on behalf of NewBridge.
