Position Title: Full-time Mental Health Counselor
Responsible To: Coordinator of Partial Care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field.
- Experience working in a mental health setting preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Driving record must be accepted by NewBridge's auto insurance underwriter.
- Basic First Aid
Responsibilities
Serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team for the purpose of assessing client strengths and needs and developing, evaluating and implementing the individual treatment/service plan.
- Facilitates specialized activities and groups, and co-facilitates group therapy sessions.
- Provides supportive counseling and case management services.
- Assists with crisis intervention.
- Supervises program clients in self-medication, as needed.
- Collects data and maintains documentation as related to direct service.
- Attends supervision, treatment team, in-service and other staff meetings, and participates in agency committee work as assigned.
- Transports clients as assigned.
- Works with the Director of Partial Care in evaluating, modifying and further developing the program to meet the needs of the clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
