Position Title: Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, Part-Time
Responsible To: Medical Director
Qualifications:- N.J. licensed medical doctor specializing in psychiatry.
- Board certified or eligible in Adult and/or Child and Adolescent
- Psychiatry. Maintains all professional licenses and/or certifications as current.
- Minimum of one year post-resident experience in psychiatry.
- Good communication skills.
- Act as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team for the purpose of assessing children and adolescent patients strengths and needs, developing and evaluating individual treatment plans. Oversee the implementation of treatment and discharge plans.
- Provide psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, consultations and treatment recommendations.
- Provide and monitors psychopharmacological treatment. Order and provide follow-up on lab work and physical exams as needed. Coordinate treatment with other physicians when appropriate.
- Document clients' status and progress as related to evaluations, treatments and terminations. Prepare reports as needed to outside agencies, etc.
- Review and approve all appropriate treatment plans.
- Participate in staff and supervision meetings, and NewBridge committee work as assigned.
- Provide medication, education and consultation to staff and patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
