Position Title: Mental Health Counselor

Responsible To: Coordinator of Partial Care

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Experience working in a mental health setting preferred. Good communication skills. Driving record must be accepted by NewBridge Service's auto insurance underwriter. Basic First Aid.

Responsibilities

1. Serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team for the purpose of assessing client strengths and needs and developing, evaluating and implementing the individual treatment/service plan.
2. Facilitates specialized activities and groups, and co-facilitates group therapy sessions.
3. Provides supportive counseling and case management services.
4. Assist with crisis intervention.
5. Supervises program clients in self-medication, as needed.
6. Collects data and maintains documentation as related to direct service.
7. Attends supervision, treatment team, inservice and other staff meetings, and participates in agency committee work as assigned.
8. Transports clients as assigned.
9. Works with the Director of Partial Care in evaluating, modifying and further developing the program to meedt the needs of the clients.
10. Other duties as assigned.
