Position Title: Quality Assurance Manager - Full Time
Responsible To: Assistant Executive Director
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology, preferred; BA or BS in related field required; at least 2 years of experience in a direct service capacity, and 1 year experience with the implementation of performance improvement activities; ability to work collaboratively with other professionals; ingenuity and judgment to plan work, deal with factors not easily evaluated, interpret results, draw conclusions, and take recommended action; and excellent communication skills
- Works with the Assistant Executive Director to implement the agency's annual Performance Improvement Plan:
- Development of programmatic PI activities;
- Data collection such as chart review, consumer surveys, family surveys;
- Outcomes studies and measures;
- Reporting systems; and
- Follow up.
- Works closely with the Assistant Executive Director to ensure compliance with all performance and quality related regulations and standards from the State Division of Mental Health Services, Passaic and Morris Counties, municipal standards, and the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare.
- Meets regularly with the Program Directors to review status of PI activities.
- Implements special PI projects.
- Facilitates utilization management activities: chart reviews for specific indicators, admissions reviews, continued stay reviews, Length of Stay studies, discharge reviews, face to face studies of direct service workers.
- Attends the Clinical Management Team meetings to collect data regarding new admissions, high risk situations, terminations from programs, problem solving and new treatment information.
- Obtains and evaluates all case review data to identify trends, reports findings to Clinical Leadership and Assistant Executive Director.
- Participates in all site reviews.
- Represents the agency on community and professional committees.
- Performs other work of the Agency as assigned.
