Finding peace in a tumultuous world
September 15, 2007Between September 11 memorials and ongoing reports of casualties in the Middle East, it's easy to feel burdened and not even realize why.
To help maintain peaceful thoughts when the news makes you anxious:- Talk with others about your feelings.
- Turn off the television and spend time with nature-it has an amazing capacity to distance you from "real-world" issues.
- Listen to soothing music or indulge in light reading.
- Keep busy-distract yourself with positive people and plans.
- Write to a soldier or a soldier's family. Let them know you care.
