Do a school checkup for your child
October 15, 2008Now that students are well into another school year, it's a good time to check in with them to make sure they are on track-academically and emotionally. Communication is the key.
Each day, ask your child specific questions, such as:
- What is his/her favority subject or teacher and why?
- With whom did he/she sit at lunch today?
- What was the best/worst thing that happened today?
Be sure to reach out to teachers, introducing yourself and letting them know things about your child that might be helpful. Open the door for them to contact you if your child changes his/her behavior or faces any social or academic challenge.
If you child exhibits a change in behavior or grades or appears to be struggling emotionally, NewBridge can help. Contact NewBridge Services today at 888-746-9333 or click here.
