NewBridge Celebrates Older Americans Month

Open house for senior resource providers to raise awareness

Pompton Plains, NJ - April 30, 2007 - Many senior citizens have already raised their children, served their country and, provided for their families and continue to be an integral part of society as volunteers, employees, employers, caregivers and civic leaders. NewBridge, a nonprofit provider of behavioral health and education programs, is pleased to commemorate May being Older Americans Month by raising awareness of its services to help seniors.

Whether you are a senior citizen in need of assistance or a caregiver for an elderly person and could use a helping hand, NewBridge can help. Services include counseling, day programs, care management, home-based clinical nurse services, caregiver respite, and more. Seniors can also benefit from the wide range of services offered through NewBridge SAIL (Senior Assistance for Independent Living), which includes links to:

NewBridge is hosting a Senior Services Open House on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., with a brief program at 3:45 p.m., at 640 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ. Caregivers, public health nurses, assisted living administrators, municipal and county officials, and senior resource providers are encouraged to attend to learn more about NewBridge's services to seniors and have a chance to speak with the staff.
