NewBridge Names 2008 Board of Trustees

Pompton Plains, N.J., March 13, 2008 - NewBridge Services, a nonprofit provider of behavioral health and education programs and services, announced the election of two longtime supporters, William Eckert and Jeffrey Gillman, as president and vice president of its Board of Trustees for 2008. Both reside in Pompton Plains and have worked with NewBridge for many years through its board, committees and fundraising events.

Also elected were Doren Greene of Mountain Lakes as Recording Secretary; William Lehr of Boonton as Corresponding Secretary; and Debra Rosellini of Montville as Treasurer.

"During NewBridge's 45th year helping people move forward, our board will provide valuable insight and experience to ensure that NewBridge continues meeting the ever-changing needs of Passaic and Morris county residents," said Robert L. Parker, Executive Director of NewBridge. "Through their direction and leadership, our officers will help us to respond with progressive behavioral health and education programs that make a difference in people's lives every day."

The NewBridge Board of Trustees oversees the agency's activities, expenditures and growth, and participates in short- and long-term strategic planning. Special challenges facing the 2008 board include stretching the budget to meet the increased demand for services by residents, as well as supervising the progress of NewBridge's first two forays into social enterprise-affordable housing and an intensive outpatient program for substance abuse.

NewBridge has office locations in Boonton, Montville, Pompton Lakes, Pompton Plains, Wayne and West Milford. To learn more about NewBridge, make a donation or join the mailing list, call toll-free (888) 746-9333 or visit www.newbridge.org.
