NewBridge, a non-profit 501(c)(3), is dedicated to helping people find balance in their lives by providing affordable and innovative behavioral health and education programs

Letter to Editor: NewBridge 70001 Thanks its Funders

Dear Editor,

NewBridge handed 52 former high school dropouts their high school diplomas and sent them soaring off to college and careers at the June graduation of NewBridge 70001 Jobs Plus, an alternative education program for local teens and young adults.

These were not everyday graduates. They overcame tremendous obstacles to reach that goal, and since the program's inception, more than 1,000 Morris, Sussex and Warren county young adults have seized their second chance to achieve empowerment and success.

We at NewBridge are proud of the graduates and are overwhelmingly grateful to those supporters who make this vital community program a reality. The program simply would not exist without the ongoing support of Morris/Warren/Sussex Workforce Investment Board, the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders through the Department of Human Services, United Way of Morris County, local churches, individual donors, NewBridge Fund, Inc., along with partners at different times through the years: Verizon, Capital One Bank, JCP&L, among others.

We cannot count solely on our government to subsidize our society's many needs. We must depend on people, corporations and organizations to partner with us to give people the tools they need to move forward. Thankfully, our supporters see this as a worthwhile cause as well.
