NewBridge Names 2010 Board of Trustees

Board focused on keeping vital senior, children services in tact

Pompton Plains, N.J., January 20, 2010 - NewBridge Services, a nonprofit community provider of behavioral health and education programs and services, announces its Board of Trustees for 2010. The board oversees the agency's activities, expenditures and growth, and participates in short- and long-term strategic planning. With a strong commitment to senior and children services, this year's board will focus on maintaining NewBridge programs that are no longer supported by state funding.

The NewBridge board members are Jeffrey Gillman of Pompton Plains, President; Bonnie Holmes of Pompton Plains, Vice President; Mary Ameen of Wanaque, Recording Secretary; Doren Greene of Mountain Lakes, Corresponding Secretary; Allen Levy of Towaco, Treasurer; and members William Eckert of Pompton Plains, Nancy Grimbilas of Pompton Plains, Sharon Hollick of Pompton Plains, Francis McEnerney of Chester and Debra Rosellini of Towaco.

The Board of Trustees has accepted the challenge to find ways to sustain vital senior and youth programs that have lost funding. NewBridge's senior programs focus on improving the daily life of seniors and providing the resources and services to help them remain in their own home. Youth services include a variety of life-enriching educational and counseling programs in areas such as resolving conflict, developing life skills, stress management, healthy living, career counseling, preparation for high school diplomas and job placement.

"The NewBridge board, working with the executive administrative team, will strive to have the agency provide the maximum level of services within the constraints of the funding received," said Jeffrey Gillman, board president. "In addition, there will be an increased effort to find additional sources of funding specifically for senior citizen and youth programs. In order to continue providing needed and innovative services, NewBridge continues to rely on the support of its community members."
