NewBridge gets $50K boost from TD Banknorth
PEQUANNOCK: NewBridge Services, a nonprofit provider of behavioral health and education programs, received a $50,000 "Housing for Everyone" grant from TD Banknorth to develop affordable housing for persons with special needs, it was announced yesterday.
NewBridge will use the money to help create permanent, affordable lease-based housing for families in which there are adult parents who are recovering from mental illness and have dependent children, said NewBridge Executive Director Robert Parker.
The "Housing for Everyone" grant competition was developed by the bank in partnership with the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey.
