NewBridge, a non-profit 501(c)(3), is dedicated to helping people find balance in their lives by providing affordable and innovative behavioral health and education programs

ENRICH

NewBridge ENRICH is an innovative horticultural therapy program developed by NewBridge Services, Inc. ENRICH integrates non-traditional treatment methods into a traditional behavioral health treatment strategy. This method of therapy is creative, unique and not being practiced by any other behavioral health agencies in the area. NewBridge ENRICH is a breakthrough program with clear benefits to the populations served.

About ENRICH

NewBridge ENRICH is a creative and innovative program that strives to empower NewBridge consumers to discover their own potential by enriching their lives through the dynamic actions inherent in horticulture, while simultaneously enriching the appearance of the surrounding community.

ENRICH is unique in that it requires the consumer to actively participate in hands-on, goal driven activities, as opposed to the typical, and somewhat passive, methodologies implemented in the behavioral health field today.

Participants accumulate knowledge, which in turn enables them to take a direct role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the garden. Throughout this process consumers learn about the importance of skill building. Research has shown that the healing aspects of plants can be effective when working with varied populations; plants help people heal. Since 2001, NewBridge ENRICH has grown to serve consumer populations ranging from adolescents to seniors.

In ENRICH, the final appearance of the garden is not of crucial importance. The most important aspect of the project is the act of getting there - the process.

ENRICH has been featured in the Daily Record, The Star-Ledger and Herald News.
