Thank you! The January 2010 - June 30, 2011 Are You One? campaign was a tremendous success raising more than $324,400!
The campaign continues on (from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012) with our new goal of $325,000! The end result will be stronger communities.
PHILANTHROPIST. The word may conjure images of wealthy people who have employees to disseminate large donations on their behalf, but the definition is much simpler and far more profound:
A philanthropist is anyone who cares about people, promotes human welfare and contributes funds to further a mission.
The Situation
NewBridge helps 10,000-plus people each year, most are served by our specialized services for youth and senior citizens. These programs, which give youth the tools to navigate life and help seniors maintain independence, receive little or no state funding. They rely on private donations and grants.
Through challenging times, NewBridge managed to keep programs going and expand others to meet a growing demand. Without an infusion of funding, programs will start to disappear and the critical needs of our communities' most vulnerable will not be met.
