Alternative Education Program Helping Young Adults Thrive
Traditional schooling is not the right fit for everyone. NewBridge JobsPlus, our alternative education and career program, meets learners where they are, providing individualized support and practical skills that prepare them for real-world success.
Since 1983, NewBridge JobsPlus has given young adults ages 16 to 24 a second chance at success. The free program, offered to Morris County residents at our Parsippany location, combines academics, career training and life skills to prepare participants for the high school equivalency exam and future opportunities. Participants can also take advantage of free transportation within Morris County, offered on a space-available basis.
With more than 1,000 graduates, JobsPlus boasts a 90% diploma completion rate and 85% of participants advance to college, vocational training or employment. NewBridge JobsPlus helps young people build confidence and prepare for the next steps in education or employment.
What Does NewBridge JobsPlus Offer?
NewBridge JobsPlus combines academics, career preparation and life skills support to help young adults succeed. Services include:
- Individualized Academic Support: Self-paced learning to prepare for the high school equivalency exam
- Career Counseling and Job Readiness: Resume writing, interview skills and employment connections
- Life Skills and Counseling: Guidance in decision-making, goal-setting and managing challenges
- College and Financial Aid Guidance: Help with applications, FAFSA and planning for the future

Who Can Benefit from NewBridge JobsPlus?
NewBridge JobsPlus serves Morris County young adults ages 16 to 24 who have left high school but still want a chance to earn a diploma and prepare for meaningful careers. Young adults from outside the county may also be considered if no local options are available. The program recognizes the challenges many participants face and provides support without judgment.
Based in Parsippany, NewBridge JobsPlus welcomes motivated young people ready for a fresh start — whether their goal is higher education, vocational training or stepping directly into the workforce. To make participation easier, free transportation is provided within Morris County on a space-available basis.

How the NewBridge JobsPlus Process Works
Starting at NewBridge JobsPlus is simple, and every participant is supported from day one. The program follows a structured yet flexible process to encourage growth:
- Assessment and Enrollment: Our team works with each participant to review academic history and identify personal goals.
- Personalized Learning Plan: Individualized instruction helps participants progress at their own pace toward earning a New Jersey-issued diploma.
- Career Preparation: Participants build pathways to future success through job skills training, resume support and employment exploration.
- Life Skills and Counseling: Support with problem-solving, mental health and financial planning ensures readiness for independence.
- Ongoing Case Management: Our team provides follow-up and guidance as young adults transition to college, employment or training programs.
