POMPTON LAKES – June 3, 2014 – Pompton Lakes High School senior Jalyn said ‘Thank you’ to NewBridge Services by raising $570 so others can get help like she did.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Jalyn in May made and sold green rainbow loom bracelets with some help from fellow members on the Pompton Lakes High School Class Council (Jalyn is council historian).
“I feel a lot of people don’t talk about mental health, so I wanted to bring attention to it,’’ said the 18-year-old Riverdale resident. The soon-to-be freshman at Centenary College said NewBridge counselors helped her when she was struggling.
“I hope you can use of this donation to continue to help others,’’ Jalyn said.
“NewBridge is honored by Jalyn’s generous donation and humbled by her recognition,’’ NewBridge CEO Robert L. Parker said.
