NewBridge to Honor Robert Parker at Sept. 9 Legacy of Hope Gala

NewBridge Services is honoring Robert L. Parker, the nonprofit’s longest-serving leader, at the 2021 Legacy of Hope Gala on Thursday, Sept. 9.

The highly anticipated event was twice postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the fun and glamorous fundraiser can now finally happen! NewBridge is hosting the event at one of Morris County’s most stunning venues: The Legacy Castle looks like a palace from the Gilded Age!

NewBridge chose to honor Parker for his 42 years of service to the nonprofit. He served 28 years at the helm before retiring last year. Under Parker’s leadership, NewBridge flourished, expanding programs in counseling, housing and education to help residents of Morris, Passaic and Sussex counties — and beyond — overcome obstacles and move forward.

Over the years, Parker has been honored for his advocacy of affordable housing, mental health advances and improved funding for social services. He earned a master’s degree in public administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor’s degree in community leadership and development from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Parker has held leadership roles at numerous nonprofit and advocacy groups. He was one of the first people in New Jersey to be certified as a Mental Health First Aid trainer.

NewBridge’s Legacy of Hope Gala will be a joy-filled re-entry into social life, and an excellent way to support a worthy cause. Guests will enjoy an evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and much more. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and after canceling both our major events in 2020, we want this gala to be the best yet! Reserve a table for friends and family! Go to newbridge2021.givesmart.com for tickets and to learn about sponsorship and ad journal opportunities.

Sponsorships
