NewBridge Services is expanding access to mental health care in Sussex County by offering adult psychiatric evaluations and medication management at its Sparta office, coordinating care with NewBridge therapists.
James Castagna, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, assesses each client’s symptoms and makes diagnoses. He discusses medication options, educates clients on what to expect and provides ongoing medication management. He meets regularly with NewBridge therapists to support each client’s care.
Castagna treats clients for a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.
“What I enjoy is seeing people improve and become better versions of themselves — and notice that in themselves,” Castagna said.
The Sparta office serves adults and is one of three NewBridge locations providing individualized outpatient mental health counseling. Its licensed clinicians offer evidence-based therapies in a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Clinicians work with clients to address stress, anger, trauma, life transitions and relationship difficulties, as well as mental illnesses.
NewBridge welcomes new clients, and most insurances are accepted, including Medicaid and Medicare. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, contact the Access Department at 973-316-9333 or Services@NewBridge.org.
